The end of 2010 sent us a real treat with the arrival of Let Freedom Ring. As the self appointed king of the Chrisette Michele fan club, I was expecting a good album. I was not however expecting to be surprised by just how good it was and continues to be. I place this album in classic company along with Natalie by Natalie Cole,
Chaka Khan’s What Cha’ Gonna Do For Me and The Songstress from Anita Baker among others.
In a world where questionably talented but overtly sexual and lascivious female stars dominate the scene. Chrisette Michele exhibits her power through her unquestionable musical talent.
Let Freedom ring will be a monument to her talent for years to come.
