Cage the Elephant is the first studio album by American rock band Cage the Elephant after changing their name. The album was produced by Jay Joyce and released on June 23, 2008, in Europe through Relentless Records, and on March 24, 2009, in the United States through RCA/Jive Label Group. The album was preceded by Perfect Confusion in 2005, before the band became Cage The Elephant. It was certified platinum by the RIAA and spawned four singles. Cage the Elephant debuted on the UK Albums Chart at number 38 in its week of release, and debuted at number 171 on Read more on Last.fm.
