Look, dude, to each his own, but I hate every single last thing about this album (and the surrounding subculture that ensued).
Call me a prick. I never could get into Underoath. The legion of fans telling me they were the greatest thing since sliced bread didn’t help. To me, the whole chaos/hardcore thing only works if you’re an amazing musician. And while I’m sure EVERYBODY and their mother will disagree, I just don’t think Underoath can cut it. The album is a step above Emmure….that’s why it grabs only 2 stars.
