Ty Segall is an American musician and songwriter, based in Los Angeles, California. A multi-instrumentalist, Segall is a vocalist, guitarist and drummer. He has released eleven solo studio albums along with numerous collaborations, live albums, demos and compilations. Along with his extensive solo output, he is a member of the bands The Traditional Fools, Epsilons, Party Fowl, Sic Alps, GØGGS, Fuzz, The Perverts, and Wasted Shirt.

At this early point in his career Ty Segall was just a one-man band, but he was already showing a lot of the promise that would come to fruition a couple of years down the road. A couple of tracks that remain live staples make their first appearance here, as well as a few of Segall’s signature tunes like “Pretty Baby (You’re So Ugly).” Segall’s pop smarts were already fully developed and sonically he’s a lot more interesting than the average one-man band, with lo-fi production adding a psychedelic sneer to the vocals and guitar. Recommended for fans of garage rock or anyone who gets a kick out of someone playing guitar with their hands and drums with their feet.
