Prisoner starts off really strong with the song Prisoner, and it’s a great example of The Jezabels at their strongest – when the music is pulsing, thumping, and Hayley Mary’s voice is rising above it all. When it slows down, the music is certainly still good, but in the end, forgettable. Hayley’s voice is definitely the strong point in The Jezabel’s, but in the end, the muddy guitars and quick tempo of the drums will keep you bobbing your head along with the album even if you can’t remember it for too long after it ends.
