Tedeschi Trucks Band (formerly known as the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band) is an American blues rock group based in Jacksonville, Florida. Formed in 2010, the band is led by husband-and-wife musicians Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, and primarily features members from their solo groups. Their debut album, Revelator, won a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album.

While I still think Derek is better off without the wife in tow, it IS intriguing to hear their styles in unison. Dereks the more adept technically, while Tedeschi is, by far, a better songwriter. The standout is the simmering “Sweet And Low”, a satisfied gem of multi-instrumental bliss. 2011’s Revelator was decidedly a little more fresh, but Made Up Mind showcases Susans talents in a more restrained, accessible way. Pick em’ both up.
