For Hero: For Fool is the third Subtle full-lenght project, but also the first (and only) to be released for a major; in fact the band was signed to EMI and this album was released on the aforementioned label, as well for Lex Records (in the UK), Hostess Entertainment Unlimited (in Japan) and Astralwerks (in the USA). In May 28th 2005, Dax Pierson, i.e the pianist/chorist/harmonica player of the band, was a victim of a tragic car accident, that left him quadriplegic. The band almost broke up after this.
