True is the first extended play (EP) by American singer-songwriter and producer Solange, released digitally on November 27, 2012 through Terrible Records. It was entired produced by Dev Hynes and Solange herself. Expressing an interest in music from an early age, Knowles had several temporary stints as a backup dancer for Destiny's Child, which featured her elder sister, Beyoncé Knowles, among its members, before signing with her father Mathew Knowles' Music World Entertainment label.
