Snow Patrol is a Northern Irish–Scottish rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. They consist of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar, backing vocals).[6] Initially an indie rock band, Snow Patrol rose to prominence in the early– mid-2000s as part of the post-Britpop movement. Auf ihrem sechsten Studioalbum kombinieren Snow Patrol emotionale Balladen und kraftvolle Elektrobeats, was zu einem abwechslungsreichen Album führt, dem es aber an wirklichen Hits mangelt. Vieles wirkt zu verspielt oder überproduziert, manches gar unpassend oder überflüssig. Dabei zeigen einzelne Tracks, in denen Gary Lightbody gefühlvoll den Takt vorgibt und ihn die Band ohne überfrachtende synthetische Spielereien begleitet, durchaus ihr nach wie vor vorhandenes Potential, das sie aber leider auf diesem Album nur teilweise abrufen können.
