Standout Tracks: Skrillex Orchestral Suite, Right In, Kyoto.
I am ashamed to admit that I got caught up in the hype of Skrillex’s first major release, “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites”, like a 15 year old suburban girl. Something about his particular flavor of dubstep appeals to my inner d-bag. I’ll be honest I wanted to hate this and all manner of dubstep but it’s infectious. Even if the album does sound like a fax machine and synthesizer procreating it is great for long runs and bike rides. All that being said I still feel that this release is overshadowed by Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.
