Easily one of the best records of 2010. Even songs I didn’t like at first like, “U Should Know Better,” grew on me over time. The songwriting is full of hooks, interesting lyrics and great melodies. The production is big, clear and sophisticated.

Robyn’s music can fill up the dance floor and lift you up when you’re in a bad mood. Robyn’s vocals are the focal point of every song. They are skilled and saturated with great harmonies.

The keyboards on this records are amazing. Almost every song is centered around an arpeggiator of some sort. The keyboard tones are all interesting and serve the song. At the same time, there is a simplicity to the songs as well. Each song may have only 3 or 4 instruments.

Robyn released this record her way, on her own label. Robyn is an artist in control of her destiny. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from her.
