The More Things Change... is the second album by American heavy metal band Machine Head. The album is the last release featuring the original lead guitarist Logan Mader and the first album to feature current drummer Dave McClain. The album title alludes to the first part of the phrase: "The more things change, the more they stay the same". In the song "Struck a Nerve", the same phrase is mentioned during the chorus. Machine Head is an American metal band from Oakland, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce. The band's aggressive musicianship made it one of the pioneering bands in the new wave of American heavy metal, and it is also considered to be part of the second wave of thrash metal bands from the 1990s.
