This album finds Little Claw further developing their sound. It includes some of their most melodic work, something of a country-western sound occasionally, some very long, noisy jams, and some very unusual guitar. The first and last songs are the same song, played in very different styles. Read more on Last.fm.
More noise than garage rock and punk-er in approach than sound, it’s easy to see why Little Claw’s “Human Taste” appeared as a joint release between Not Not Fun and Ecstatic Peace: it pretty perfectly toes the line between the relatively more restrained heady noise of the former and the raucous garage noise of the latter. The good news is that their approach sets them apart from many other bands in the lo-fi camp, the bad news is that you’re more likely to remember the approach than any of the songs here.
