Rock and Roll Over is the fifth studio album and sixth overall by hard rock band Kiss. Unlike Destroyer, which was recorded with members of the New York Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra, Rock and Roll Over was recorded by just Stanley, Frehley, Simmons, and Criss. The album was a return to the more straight-ahead rock sound heard on the group's first three albums. In order to achieve the required drum sound for Rock and Roll Over, Peter Criss played in a bathroom at the Star Theatre and communicated with the rest of the band via a video link.
