This original motion picture soundtrack contains the musical score composed by Academy Award nominee James Horner (An American Tail, Aliens) for the Steven Speilberg/George Lucas production of "The Land Before Time", directed by Don Bluth and released by Universal Pictures in 1988. This soundtrack includes the hit song "If We Hold On Together" by Motown legend Diana Ross. "The Land Before Time" is the third feature-length production by former Disney animator Don Bluth, who prior to this directed "The Secret of NIMH" and "An American Tail", and created the first laserdisc arcade video game "Dragon's Lair".
