Released 1970, the first James Brown album to feature William "Bootsy" Collins on bass and brother Phelps "Catfish" Collins on guitar, both of whom went on to Parliament-Funkadelic fame years later. Bootsy and his brother Catfish were both in thier upper teens-early twenties at the time of this recording. Bootsy was fired within a year for coming on stage under the influence of LSD. Bootsy says, "I looked down at my bass and it turned into a snake, I didn't want no parts of that, so I threw my bass down and ran off stage." "Sex Machine" (1970) @ discogs.com] Read more on Last.fm.
