This may be one of the most sonically arresting and challenging albums I’ve heard in a VERY long time, and they are still at the local band status. The production is on point as compared to their live show, which heralds acts like Jesus Lizard, but so much louder and dissonant, and brutally heavy without being metal in the slightest. The tempo of the album changes from song to song, but at times it feels like the first song never ended, in a really good way. They are easily dubbed as noise rock, but more on the Unsane side of the gene, with more effects, samples, and a higher sense of artistry. A fantastic record.
