Not really a fan of the Heart-influenced vocalist, the closest contemporary of whom I think would be the chick from Mythical Beast. In fact, I think fans of that band would do well to listen to this release.
The band has a cool sound but never really pulls together anything that sticks with you until the fourth track, “Nightcrawler,” which is fortunately the longest song on the record and CDB’s high point to date. A great groove with some psychedelic noise dancing around the fringes, it’s really the only thing to recommend about the album.
