The rare rap album without a single wasted moment, with tracks 2 thru 9 being a extended, mountainous high point. Undoubtedly this is The Neptunes’ shining moment as producers, and the album on which Pusha T ascended to his position as one of the great MCs of his time (which isn’t to discount Malice’s dexterity at all). It’s dark but fun, uncompromising but totally accessible. A masterpiece.
