Carver City is the fourth studio album by American alternative metal band CKY. Recorded mainly at guitarist and producer Chad I Ginsburg's Studio CIG Pennsylvania in New Hope, Pennsylvania, it was released on May 19, 2009, by Roadrunner Records. After a long waited return, CKY made their comeback with this synth and effect driven album that starts with a bang, thus concluding the Hellview saga with the horror movie style track Hellions on Parade. The most redeemable thing about this album is the fact that the story driven songs don’t just end there. Similar themes arise in tracks such as: ..And She Never Returned, The Boardwalk Body, and Old Carver’s Bones. Deron Miller(CKY frontman) definitely knows how to condense a riveting horror movie scenario into a three and a half minute track, and this album is chock full of them, with content ranging from fantasy to real life stories.
