This album was just okay in my book. Albeit a typical Ben Kweller album is always a good buy/ listen especially for a lounging-around day.
‘Go Fly a Kite’ is standard-issue Ben Kweller, but that makes it pretty darn good. His quirky style just works, and I’ve always been a fan of the odd guitar parts and ‘solos’, such as on the opening track. Kweller’s embedded ‘indie pop’ is infectious; let’s just admit he’s going to be around for a while, making good-to-great albums.
