Asrai is a female fronted gothic metal band originating from the area around Rotterdam and The Hague, Netherlands . Originally formed in 1988 by sisters Margriet and Karin, they produced several demos between 1989 and 1994 which gained them national popularity and radio play both in Netherlands and central Europe. In 1997 they released their debut As Voices Speak on the German Poison Ivy label (extremely indie distribution channel) and issued a German release of the album later that year. Read more on Last.fm
