This sounds a lot less like the same ol’ garage and a lot more like new (no?) wave – thanks mostly to the drum tone, which has shades of that killer tight early Devo sound. It freaks and grooves and rolls and drones and is best served on endless loop – at first it feels like it goes all over the place, but it’s definitely the most focused Dwyer output I’ve ever heard. Can’t stop listening. I dig it.
