The Beatles

Revolver is the seventh studio album by English rock band the Beatles, released on 5 August 1966 on the Parlophone label and produced by George Martin. Many of the tracks on Revolver feature an electric guitar-rock sound that contrasts with their previous LP, the folk rock inspired Rubber Soul (1965). In Britain, the fourteen tracks from Revolver were released to radio stations throughout July 1966, "building anticipation for what would clearly be a radical new phase in the group's recording career". It reached number one on both the British chart and American chart and stayed at the top spot for Read more on Last.fm.

    Albums don’t matter much anymore, but this is one of the albums that made them matter. The band at the absolute pinnacle of their powers and not a bad track. Everything that can be said about the Beatles has been said way too many times and I still want to find a new way to describe just how good this album is.

    My absolute FAVORITE Beatles album. Not that they’re not all great, but this is the one to get first. Unless you go in for that chronological order thing.
