Lise Karlsnes is a Norwegian singer/songwriter. She is the lead vocalist in popular pop/rock band Briskeby, which she joined in 2000, best known for their debut album Jeans For Onassis. The band went on a hiatus in 2006 after touring their third album Jumping On Cars, and made a comeback with the single Rookie Mistakes in 2015.
Lise's first release as a solo artist was the song Come With Me into the Furnace which was featured in the Norwegian film 'De Gales Hus' in 2008. Read more on Last.fm
I was a HUGE fan of Lise Karlsnes from her tenure with the rock/pop group Briskeby. She’s got an unmistakable voice and an obvious sex appeal. She uses both quite well.
Dance or Die is an experimentation in modern electronic music. Karlsnes gives us a few dance floor jammers, “Red Hot,” and “Sailors.” However Radiodhead is summoned on the track, “Darkest Blue.”
There’s a lot of layers and textures to this record. That is why this record deserved repeated listens.
