I Fight Dragons is a rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 2008, consisting of Brian Mazzaferri (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, chiptunes), Packy Lundholm (harmony vocals, electric guitar), Bill Prokopow (harmony vocals, piano, chiptunes), Hari Rao (bass), and Chad Van Dahm (drums).

This album is the first full album release from this awesome Chicago based pop rock group. The tracks have a very distinct pop influence with the added awesomeness of integrating NES and SNES sound effects. I Fight Dragons does an excellent job of balancing the parts of Nerdcore that I love so much but also has a pop sound that makes their music much more marketable to the masses. In my opinion the absolute best track on this album is the nerd power anthem “The Geeks Will Inherit The Earth”. This has become one of my favorite tracks of all time, along with the obvious relation to my personal life this song is catchy beyond belief. Along with this album the band has two EP’s that are absolutely worth checking out. Cool is Just a Number and Welcome to the Breakdown are great, signing up for their mailing list also grants you access to free tracks which they occasionally send out.
