"A Secret Wish" was the 1985 debut album of synthpop band "Propaganda". It was produced by Stephen Lipson and Trevor Horn. The album shares many of the characteristics of other early-'80s ZTT releases, especially in the groundbreaking use of synthesizers, such as the Fairlight CMI. The singles "Duel" and "Dr. Mabuse" were both successful UK chart hits. The track "p:Machinery" was also released as a single, and was featured in an episode of the 80's TV "Show Miami Vice". There are two Bands under the Name Propaganda :
1. Synthpop band Propaganda was formed in Germany by vocalist Claudia Brücken and drummer Michael Mertens plus keyboard players Susanne Freytag and Ralf Dorper. The quartet moved to England in 1983 and signed to ZTT Records, also the home of Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Art of Noise. Propaganda's first single, "Dr. Mabuse," reached the British Top 30 in early 1984, but the band's second release was more than a year in coming. Read more on Last.fm
