When He Is Legend signed to Solid State Records, the band had already stirred a blaring buzz all their own. But they were just getting started. 2004 put He Is Legend on the map and on the move. In June, the five North Carolina natives released their debut EP, 91025 with Tribunal Records, a label most noted for helping launch the careers of bands like Atreyu and From Autumn to Ashes. This is definitively what I anticipated from He Is Legend. Through their progression over the past decade as a band and singularly as musicians they found their sound with ‘It Hates You’ and perfected it with ‘Heavy Fruit’. Not going to get caught up in all the nuances of what makes this album a 5/5, but if you dig their last album then you will find yourself grooving to these jams too. Adam straight murders these tracks and Sam introduces a sound you didn’t even know the band was missing prior to his induction. Kudos Dudes, Pour It Out!
