So Real is the debut album of pop singer Mandy Moore through 550 Music. It was released in 1999 when Moore was fifteen years old. The album was certified platinum in the United States. On MTV's TRL, Moore said that she would repay the buyers of this album if she had the money because she felt it sounded "so bad." Moore grew up in Florida, United States and came to fame as a teenager in 1999, after the release of So Real, her first album. Her subsequent albums released in the 2000s, include the self-titled Mandy Moore and Coverage established her as a well-known pop singer in the United States.
