Kivenkantaja ("Stonebearer" in English) is Moonsorrow's third full-length album. It was released on the 10th of March 2003, through Spinefarm Records. Track 6, Matkan Lopussa is a traditional Finnish song which the band added new lyrics to. It was the first Moonsorrow song to have female vocals, provided by Petra Lindberg. Moonsorrow is a pagan metal band formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 1995. Musically, the band incorporates elements of black metal and folk metal in their sound. The band call their sound "epic heathen metal" and try to distance themselves from the term "Viking metal".
