Alien Lanes is the eighth full length album by American lo-fi indie rock band Guided by Voices, released in 1995. It is, along with Bee Thousand, widely considered among the band's best albums. Pitchfork Media have included Alien Lanes in both of their 'Top 100 Albums of the 90s' polls, at No. 33 and 27 respectively. Magnet named it the best album of 1995. The album was GBV's first release with Matador Records.
