Progressive Rock! Really? is that not for old men that like pipes and making models of things!
Well maybe! but sometimes they can catch your eye especially the Prog coming from Scandinavia and With Wobbler Rites at Dawn is their third album and they have a new Vocalist the underrated Andreas Prestmo. They are influenced by the classical prog with overtones of Yes in the album.
There is an on going battle between Progheads about what is Prog? and Wobbler are centre of the battle being heavily influenced by Classical Prog but there not rebranding past greats they are taking the sounds adding their own trademarks with the mellotron and Rickenbacker and Prestmo’s vocal supremacy and creating something truly progressive
Wobbler – Rites at Dawn is definitely worth a listen especially la Bealtaine and In Orbit
