It’s not brilliant. It’s not all that original either. What Reo Speedwagon’s Hi-Infidelity is, is the best arena rock record of 1980. The slick production, hooks, and well penned lyrics all come together like some great recipe. It’s chock full of hits……”Don’t Let Him Go”, “Take It On The Run” and, of course “Keep On Loving You”, the greatest awkward prom dance tune ever. Kevin Cronin’s mellow, nasal croon will practically roll the windows down for you….providing its summer time. God help me….5 stars.
