In Rainbows is the seventh studio album by the English alternative rock band Radiohead. It was first released on 10 October 2007 as a digital download, followed by a standard CD release in most countries during the last week of 2007. The album was released in North America on 1 January 2008. In Rainbows was Radiohead's first release after the end of their contract with EMI and the end of the longest gap between studio albums in their career.

The band is composed of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, beats), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboard, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass guitar) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion). Radiohead released their first single, "Creep," in 1992. The song was initially unsuccessful, but it became a worldwide hit several months after the release of their debut album, Pablo Honey (1993).

Radiohead has landed few more beautiful cuts than “Reckoner,” some of the others even appearing on this disc.
I hated Kid A. Ok Computer was just….well….Ok. In Rainbows, however, is a bitchin’ set of tunes. Thom Yorks solo work helped birth this little wonder. You can tell by the simplicity and economy in chord choices. It’s just what you need. Just don’t try having sex to it.
