Volition is the fourth studio album by Canadian progressive metal band Protest the Hero released on October 29, 2013 through Razor & Tie. Volition marks the band's first record not to be released through Underground Operations or with any financial backing of label support. The band changed their name to Protest the Hero shortly before releasing their debut EP, Search for the Truth, in 2002. In 2005, the band released their first full-length album, Kezia, on the indie label Underground Operations.

Very political album, but the progression of Rody’s vocals are far more amped up than the toned down vocals from ‘Scurrilious’. Added bonus, Chris Adler (Lamb of God) tracked drums for the album and did not disappoint.
