"In Search Of..." is the debut studio album by American funk rock band N.E.R.D., composed of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley. It was first released on August 6, 2001, in Europe, where fellow Neptunes-produced project Wanderland by Kelis had been better received. Like Kelis' early work, In Search of... juxtaposes hip hop and rock influences, blending genres in a way that defied easy categorization. One of my favorite albums ever. Sonically, with The Neptunes behind the boards, you can expect to get something unique, but it really was Spymob performing on this album that set it apart from the rest of the band’s catalog.
