Colson Baker (born April 22, 1990), known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly or MGK, is an American musician, rapper, singer-songwriter and actor. He is noted for his genre duality across alternative rock with hip hop. MGK released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. He released his debut studio album,Lace Up, in 2012, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and contained his breakout single "Wild Boy" (featuring Waka Flocka Flame). I really enjoyed this album. I’m not one to listen to a lot of current rap but MGK grabbed my attention a few weeks ago . This is the first label released album from MGK who made his name through mix tape releases which I highly suggest you find if you enjoy this album. His style is fast, aggressive, and angry. Something about his style just makes his tracks pop and my ears enjoy it greatly. Do yourself a favor and grab this album and his mix tape “Lace Up!”.
